Microsoft have revealed that touch controls will work in games. This was revealed during the Microsoft Game Stack event in which Jarret Bradley from Coalition displayed how touch controls would work with Gears 5.
The Coalition went back and rethought how to implement touch controls into Gears 5. They even added gyro controls to Gears 5. What is also exciting is that they added specific controls for parts of the game. For example in the
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice has added touch controls to the game and that is available to try today using touch controls. As we edge closer to the formal launch of xCloud in September we could hear more details on how touch controls could be added to games.
