True Achievements are reporting that the option to buy a 12 month Xbox Live membership has been removed and that this is not a mistake. This was noticed a number of days and True Achievements reached out to Xbox to get clarificiation on this.

The full quote was

At this time, Xbox has decided to remove the 12 months Xbox Live Gold SKU from the Microsoft online Store. Customers can still sign up for a one month or three month Xbox Live Gold subscription online through the Microsoft Store.

This follows the news that the xCloud will be free as part of Gamepass Ultimate. This is leading people to speculate that Xbox Live will be phased out in favour of Gamepass.
