Ubisoft Studio Massive Entertainment, the people behind The Division franchise, and an upcoming project based on James Cameron’s Avatar Franchise are working on a Star Wars title for the recently announced Lucasfilm Games. The news comes via Wired and the title is still in the early stages of development, so nothing is known other than it will be Star Wars related. Wired also states that “Julian Gerighty, director of The Division 2 and The Crew, will serve as the creative director of this new Star Wars project”. The title will also use Massive Entertainment’s Snowdrop Engine.
Personally, I cannot wait for this new Star Wars game from Ubisoft and I also think that this will also come to Stadia due to Ubisoft’s big partnership with Stadia. This also raises questions about what has happened with the EA Star Wars contract.
