Cloudy with a Chance of Games

In today’s investor call it was revealed that Ubisoft is bringing Rainbow 6 Siege, For Honor and Uno to Stadia this quarter. Rainbow Six Siege is a highly anticipated title and it is finally making its way to Stadia. Also coming is For Honor. This game has had a bit of a redemption story with Ubisoft continuing to invest in the title. As these are Ubisoft titles these should make there way onto Ubisoft +. This follows on from our story from Sunday where we reported that Ubisoft were hiring for someone to bring a Google Compliance Officer which is someone who is in charge of bringing the games to Stadia.

The top-line growth will be driven by both back-catalog and new releases. Back-catalog growth
will be spurred by its underlying robust dynamic, by a significantly stronger release slate in 2020-
21 than in 2019-20 and by bigger post-launch plans, more than compensating for the high
comparison 2020-21 base resulting from the lockdown impact on overall engagement. Ubisoft
also expects to release a solid and well-diversified line-up, including premium and F2P titles. The
year will notably see the release of Far Cry 6, Rainbow Six Quarantine, Riders Republic, The
Division Heartland and Rollerâ„¢ Champions. Skull and Bones will now be released in 2022-23.

It should be noted the only games confirmed as coming to Stadia at this time are Far Cry 6 and Riders Republic.

I have been playing since the Commodore 64 days and have basically played every console going since then including the Ouya! I have been a fan of cloud gaming since the Onlive days and that was my favorite platform. Cloud gaming will revolutionize how we play games going forward and it is just a matter of time when it takes off.

  1. Gonna be interesting playing Siege on Stadia. The PC version is plagued with hackers and the console version is with ddos and mnk so which version does stadia get and what accessories can they use?
