Cloudy with a Chance of Games

It looks like we spoke too soon! Stadia has given us a Tuesday update that includes more than just the sale, with the big focus being the impending release of Hitman 3.

Alongside this, the platform-exclusive feature of State Share is confirmed to be available not only in Hitman 3, but also Hitman and Hitman 2 as of January 20th:

State Share bends the rules for what’s possible with games on Stadia. You’re used to being able to capture and share gameplay videos, but State Share lets you capture a playable slice of the game itself and share it with friends. Individual games use this feature in different ways: some let you capture custom levels or world maps; others let you set scores to beat or share a unique moment. In some games (including HITMAN 3), you can even use a friend’s game state to use items you haven’t unlocked yet. Imagine setting up a custom mission in HITMAN 3, then challenging your friends to race to the perfect takedown.

If Hitman isn’t your scene, we are also getting a new addition to the library in the form of Pikuniku. A single player and co-op puzzle and exploration experience, it will be coming to Stadia on January 21st at a limited-time discounted price of $10.39/€10.39.

Pikuniku is an absurdly wonderful puzzle-exploration game that takes place in a strange but playful world where not everything is as happy as it seems. Help peculiar characters overcome struggles, uncover a deep state conspiracy, and start a fun little revolution in this delightful dystopian adventure!

A Vibrant Adventure for All: Explore a colorful world at your own pace, help quirky characters with their unusual requests, and solve clever puzzles that will challenge players of all levels with a 4 – 5 hour campaign.

Charming Cast: Meet a cast of memorable characters on your journey, each with their own problems and eccentricities to accommodate along the way.

Cooperative Mode: Join up with family and friends for local multiplayer fun in custom cooperative levels and challenges.

Looking for some free weekends? Well Stadia has you covered there too. From January 21st to January 25th, Ghost Recon Breakpoint and WWE 2K Battlegrounds will be available to play for free for Stadia Pro subscribers.

To round off the news, we got the confirmation of Stadia arriving to LG TV’s in the second half of the year, only needing a Stadia controller to access it.

What’s your next move this week? Snag a deal in the sale? Share challenges in the Hitman games? Whatever it is, enjoy another week on Stadia.
