Cloudy with a Chance of Games

Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to Google Stadia on November 19th, 2020!

Just getting that out of the way. Not only is it releasing the same days as it will on consoles and PC, November 19th just happens to be Stadia’s first anniversary. Could this be coincidental? On purpose? We may never know. But with the many delays this title has had this year, one could assume that something nefarious was going on behind the scenes.

I’m not one to speculate, but there has been murmurings within the gaming community that Google may have had something to do with that. I don’t know how true that is, but the whispers are there.

On October 14th, made the debut of the amazing new “You Have What It Takes” ad. This came after Tuesday’s announcement of the “Good Stuff” campaign set to begin on October 20th through the 22nd. CD Projekt Red announced on their 4th episode of “Night City Wire” that the highly anticipated release date of the Stadia version would debut on the anniversary of the cloud gaming platform.

This is significant due to the only release information we had up until that point was “Later in the same year.” This is the same information we’ve had since the first delay was announced back in February ahead of its original April release.

It has also been revealed that not only is the game available to pre-order right now in the Stadia store, but when you pre-order the game, you will also receive a number of “Digital Goodies” as seen in the image below.

You get the original score, an art booklet, the CP 2077 sourcebook, CP2077: Your voice comic book, and wallpapers for your Desktop, and mobile.

These sound like some awesome items, and I can’t wait to see how that comes out. Speaking of desktop wallpapers, reddit user Mahoganypoint made a wallpaper that you can check out here.

I think it looks awesome. So check it out, and get it on your screen.

The excitement from this announcement cannot be understated. The Stadia community celebrated in a big way, and this created more momentum heading into the “Good Stuff” week next week for Stadia

This has me excited! I can’t wait to see what Stadia has in store for us, and you can be sure, I will be writing a summary of the entire event, so please check back here for my take on everything.
