Thanks to a tweet posted earlier today by @nohinn , It further appears that Apple are continuing with their plans to make way for Stadia to be accessible on iOS devices.
The Safari Technology Preview Release Notes show under the Gaming API that they have added special HID mapping for the Google Stadia controller.
So after Apple’s “Turnaround” on services such as Stadia and xCloud being available on their devices, which actually was a turnaround in the loosest possible definition, we now see yet more indication that we could be edging closer to it being possible for mainstream users.
We of course had seen numerous reports from users running the iOS 14 Beta prior to it’s full release, that they were able to use Stadia through Safari.
Have you had any success in getting your iOS device to run Stadia? Let us know below.
