Cloudy with a Chance of Games

In a flurry of activity with regards to game ratings by a combination of PEGI and ESRB.

There are 3 additional titles showing up now, which is circulating suspicions of either possible announcements at today’s Google event (Which I don’t believe is the case) or alternatively a further Stadia connect announcement.

A connect would certainly be due based on how they’ve spaced the events out this year, combined with the perception that it’s much needed ahead of Next-Gen launches.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Btoom – Rehydrated

This isn’t the first time SpongeBob has thrown his name about with regards to come to Stadia but it has shown up on the ESRB ratings within the last 24 hours.

It’s a battle to save Bikini bottom from those dastardly robots, I think the only question here is “Are you ready kids?”

Saints Row: The Third – The Full Package

This is another title where we’ve seen the rumour mill swirling as to whether it would come to the platform.

Saints Row: The Third gives you control of the Saints at the height of their power, and you live the life to show for it. Now Steelport is ripe for the taking, and it’s up to you to make the city your own.

Mold the skyline based on your choices, outfit your crew in classy gangster gear or furry costumes, and make life-or-death decisions that will change Steelport, and the Saints, forever. This is now your city. These are now your rules.”

Far Cry: New Dawn

With Uplay + due to hit the platform at some point and Far cry 6 arriving in early 2021, it makes perfect sense for us to see at least one of the Far Cry franchise come to Stadia.

If the ratings are anything to go by, Far Cry: New Dawn is the one that they want us to play.

“Face off against the Highwaymen and their leaders, the Twins as you fight to survive in a post-apocalyptic frontier. Form unexpected alliances, build a deadly arsenal of makeshift weapons using the remnants of the old world.”

My first gaming experience was on a ZX spectrum, from there I've gone through every Nintendo system, Playstation , Xbox up until the last generation of the consoles and of course PC. I finally seen the light earlier in 2020 and made the move to Cloud Gaming and quite genuinely it was the best thing I've ever done. The future of gaming is here and with my deep passion for gaming I can't wait to experience where it's going.
