Cloudy with a Chance of Games

Thank you for Chase (Stadia Talk) for the tip on this one but Hi-Rez Studios Vice President Trevor Williams has named dropped Stadia has a place to play Rogue Company. The interview was with OctaneProTv and is part of the larger interview. The question was asked in regards to next gen console support and Trevor responded with

It doesn’t matter what hardware you’re on, whether you’re on a Chromebook playing through Stadia or through the Nvidia GPU in the Cloud.”

Speculation time on top of this. I believe Rogue Company will be coming to Stadia as a Pro Title. The reason for this is that Rogue Company has plans to become a Free to Play title and you can access the beta for free now on all platforms. To access the beta you just need to sign up on the Rogue Company home page and you get a beta key for any platform you wish. As Free to Play games are locked behind Pro membership it would feel that Rogue Company will be a Pro title.

I have been playing since the Commodore 64 days and have basically played every console going since then including the Ouya! I have been a fan of cloud gaming since the Onlive days and that was my favorite platform. Cloud gaming will revolutionize how we play games going forward and it is just a matter of time when it takes off.
