PC Gamer had a chance to speak Nvidia about GeForce Now. In their article, they mention that they will upgrade to the next version of the graphics card and it will come in time. GeForce Now have upgraded the service from the Pascal type of graphics card to RTX type which feature Ray Tracing.
The quote from PC Gamer is –
“We want GeForce Now to be an opportunity for gamers to experience the latest gaming technology from Nvidia.” Andrew Fear, Sr. product manager, GeForce Now, tells me. “Therefore, you can expect to see Ampere on GeForce Now in time.”
With the quote, there are no timescales on when this will happen however it is on the roadmap. Nvidia Geforce Now is continuing to push the service out and has already confirmed Cyberpunk 2077 is day and date on the platform and will have ray tracing. This is some further commitment to the service.
