Ubisoft have announced that this weekend July 16 – 19 that Ghost Recon: Breakpoint will be available to play for free on Xbox, PlayStation , PC and Stadia. This is the first time that Stadia has had a free weekend and it is a positive step forward in this regard.
This was likely to be announced at the Stadia Connect today but Ubisoft have already announced this. The reason for the free weekend is to show off the new game update which introduces AI teammates to the game.
The Stadia version of Ghost Recon Breakpoint features Stream Connect which shows a video stream of your teammates in game. This is a feature which can transform how you play team based multiplayer games.
There is no indication if Stadia Pro will be required to play the game during the free weekend. I would, however, think this would likely be a requirement.
We have reached out to Stadia to comment.
