Sync Your Steam Library, Now on Chromebooks

We recently added Steam Sync support to GeForce NOW’s PC and macOS apps, so our members could easily add their supported Steam games to their GeForce NOW library. The response has been wildly positive, and we’re pleased to share that Chromebook users can now take advantage of this feature.

Members can now sync their Steam libraries to GeForce NOW by going to Settings > Game Sync. This feature will identify games in their Steam library that are supported by GeForce NOW and automatically add them to “My Library” within the app.

Once the Steam account is authorized, updates can be made in Settings > Game Sync each times a new Steam game is purchased. It’s the easiest way to keep the game catalog up-to-date.

Game Ready on GeForce NOW

When you fire up your favorite game, you’re playing it instantly. That’s what it means to be Game Ready on GeForce NOW. The experience has been optimized for cloud gaming and includes Game Ready Driver performance improvements. NVIDIA manages the game updates and patches, letting you play the games you own at 1080p/60FPS across nearly all of your devices, including Chromebooks. And when a game supports RTX, it includes beautifully ray-traced graphics and DLSS 2.0.

This week brings a total of 10 games to the GeForce NOW library, including day-and-date releases like Star Renegades,as well as brilliant 4X strategy titles like Endless Space 2 and Endless Legend – Emperor Edition from AMPLITUDE Studios.

And when the Epic Vault opens to awesome free games each week, we’ll be right there working to bring those games to GeForce NOW too. This week’s free games are Railway Empire and Where The Water Tastes Like Wine. Keep an eye out for confirmation on Thursdays once we’ve onboarded new game launches.

I have been playing since the Commodore 64 days and have basically played every console going since then including the Ouya! I have been a fan of cloud gaming since the Onlive days and that was my favorite platform. Cloud gaming will revolutionize how we play games going forward and it is just a matter of time when it takes off.
