Cloudy with a Chance of Games

Another week, another GeForce Now Thursday, and this week is a big one! Hot off the press, Devolver Digital and Team WIBY’s new IP Phantom Abyss arrives this summer, with a day-and-date release onto GeForce Now.

Dungeons in the Cloud

Phantom Abyss is an asynchronous multiplayer game where players delve deep into procedurally generated temples to find long lost relics and treasures.

No temple will be the same, which means you’ve got one shot per temple to avoid perilous traps, defeat magical foes and claim that fabled relic. You’re not alone though. The phantoms of previous players still linger in the temples, so you can learn from them and avoid the same fate.

As you watch your friend’s errors, you’ll be able to claim their whips, which provide both positive and negative effects. It’s all about balancing these to help you reach the end. As you explore further, you can claim keys to unlock more areas of the temple, increasing in difficulty as you progress. High risk, high reward.

It’s great to see an increase in titles coming day-and-date onto cloud platforms, and Team WIBY had cloud gamers in mind.

Phantom Abyss and GeForce Now are a perfect match. We can’t wait for gamers to explore each dungeon, and now those adventurers can stream from the cloud even if their gaming PC isn’t up to par.”

Josh Sanderson, Lead Programmer at Team WIBY

Phantom Abyss will be arriving to PC this summer, and will be instantly available to stream on GeForce Now the same day.

That’s not all for this week. In fact, GeForce Now has 5 new release titles this week, with another 12 games on top of that. Starting with an immensely popular series, in all its remastered glory.

Saints Row The Third: Remastered

The infamous series returns with fresh graphics, enhanced environments and all the DLC together in one neat package. Although it’s categorised as an Action-Adventure, it’s hard to put this game into one genre. You can do pretty much anything you want. No, really, anything.

Saints Row®: The Third™ – Remastered gives you control of the Saints at the height of their power, and you live the life to show for it. This is your City. These are your rules.

Remastered with enhanced graphics, Steelport the original city of sin, has never looked so good as it drowns in sex, drugs and guns.

Disrupt and dismantle the Syndicate stranglehold on weapons, cybercrime, and criminal rackets. Discover the secrets of Steelport, where there is action on every street corner, for better or, more likely, worse.

It’s one thing to defeat your enemies. It’s another to humiliate them. Hover jets, human cannonball cars and outrageous melee weapons are all part of the fun.

Saints Row The Third: Remastered will be available through Steam on May 22nd.

So what else is in store for you this week? Here’s your full list of titles:
